Wednesday, April 8: Safe travels to Tulum!

We wish you safe travels as you journey to Mexico! Here are a few things to know for your arrival to Tulum:

  • In addition to your passport book, we recommend bringing a copy of your passport.
  • We recommend arriving at the airport at least three hours prior to flight departure time. Check with your airport for estimated TSA wait times and adjust your airport arrival time accordingly.
  • Upon arrival in Mexico, you are required to complete a Customs form. Some airlines provide the form during the flight. If they do not, staff will provide one upon arrival. We recommend you bring a pen.
  • After clearing Immigration, pick up your luggage and proceed to Customs.
  • After you have cleared Customs, exit the terminal, ignoring the solicitors who will try to stop you.
  • Staff will be stationed outside of the exits with Coburn Supply signage to escort you to waiting buses. It’s an approximate 1-hour and 15-minute drive to the Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya.
  • The official hotel check-in time is 3 pm, but the resort will make every effort to have rooms available earlier. Remember, your room does not have to be ready to start enjoying your all-inclusive package. The bellman will store your luggage until your room is ready.
  • Upon arrival at Secrets Akumal, you will be greeted by your Coburn’s hosts at check-in. A credit card is not required for check-in but will be needed if you wish to post any charges to your room. Please have your passport handy for ID verification.
  • The Welcome Reception & Dinner, including a Vendor Meet & Greet, will take place tomorrow from 6 - 9 pm at the Seaside Pool & Garden Terrace. The evening includes delicious cocktails and food, wonderful entertainment, and great Coburn Supply camaraderie! Attire is resort casual.

Tulum Fact of the Day: The ancient Mayan ruins perched on Tulum's cliffs are one of the only known Mayan cities built directly overlooking the sea, and they served as a major trading port for jade and turquoise over 800 years ago.
